Randall is a life-long cyclist who wants to share his love of riding a bike with others. With five high school friends he rode roundtrip from his suburban Philadelphia home to Nova Scotia at age 16. He's lived without cars in Baltimore and Toronto and commuted to work on his bike. Freedom, discovery and responsibility are the words that come to Randall's mind when he thinks of riding as a child and today. He's on the Board of Director's of the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition and is the incoming president of the Kiwanis Club of Staunton. He is the Event Director for the Shenandoah Fall Foliage Bike Festival and the Ride Director for the Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes. He is a League of American Bicyclist Safety Instructor and looks forward to teaching safe riding skills. He hopes this program will help more people ride bikes. He hopes to see you at the shop or on a ride.
Dave was the Ride Director of the Fall Foliage Bike Festival and involved in many things cycling throughout the Valley. Sometimes referred to as the “accidental advocate,” Dave started bicycling to work as a way to reduce his carbon footprint. He since served as a Board member of the Virginia Bicycle Federation, the Rockbridge Area Conservation Council’s Transportation Committee, and has been active in advocating for safer road markings, more bike lanes and other actions to make Virginia even MORE bicycle friendly than it already is. He is a League of American Bicyclists Certified Safety Instructor, a graduate of Adventure Cycling Association’s Leading Tours Training Program, is certified in Wilderness First Aid, and is a member of the Bicycle Tour Network Association.
Nick helped Bike Box get organized in his role as the Business Support Coordinator with the Staunton Creative Community Fund. A native Stauntonian, Nick acquired his Bachelor of Sciences in Professional Writing from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont- a community that has long supported its economy by highlighting local entrepreneurs and emphasizing the importance of its own food system- before relocating back to his hometown in 2011. With a professional background ranging from non-profit management to slow food service. While in Burlington, Nick worked with the bike Co-op there.
